The Connecticut Valley Vizsla Club was developed to promote cooperation and friendship among the breeders and owners of Vizslas and encourage high standards in breeding for hunting ability and conformation, to promote interest in training the Vizsla for field trials, obedience trials, bench shows, gun dog, and as a personal companion.
CVVC holds many different events throughout the year including conformation shows, hunt tests, field trials. We welcome all Vizsla owners and potential Vizsla owners to come meet us at one of our events or meetings to learn about the breed and the amazing things Vizslas do!

About the CVVC Logo
Our logo was originally developed by Jan Loomis for the 2000 VCA Nationals which was hosted by CVVC. The leaping Vizsla was jumping through the middle of the center zero. The club liked the logo so well that the leaping Vizsla was added to the club acronym for our current logo by Steven Tenenbom. The 2000 National Events celebrated 50 years of Vizslas in the USA and 40 years of the Vizsla Club of America. This was back in the days when the National Field Trial and National Companion and Specialty Events were held together. The National Field Trial was at Flaherty starting October 28 followed by agility and obedience trials starting November 2. The National Specialty Show was held November 3 & 4. Ida Kavafian and Kim Himmelfarb were the overall event chairs.
The winners were showcased in the Vizsla News for Jan/Feb 2001:
